Symphony of the Dark

Luminous gray blue

Sending me messages

Screaming distance

Clicking

Humming

Electric lights off

Layers of sleepy people

Snoring

Some off pretending

Not to get too close

Bright light spying

Into the dark night

Crawling around corners

Fetching for the bug-eyed

Not yet sprawling

Snoozing off

In their ‘other worlds’

Live action movies

Blending with pretending

Uncomprehending

Whispers

Hushes and

Distorted clutches

Dreaming of realities

Bending

Twisting

Climbing

From their beds

Scared of the images

Inside of their heads

Shuffling to their fridges

Shaking off the chills

Of realities

Dreams

That never end.
