Rite of Passage

This watercolor represents the entryway into my sub-conscious mind, as I begin to create my artwork.

I was once told by a very wise older artist, that every painting you create is a self-portrait. That moment struck a profound feeling in my young mind at the time and has stuck with me ever since. I discovered the connection to my soul as a painter in those early days and have never looked back.
