Powder-air, inclement in mindset I walk the wooden day, erected by dawn, followed by sunset. There is no barn-raising today— on this flat land, littered with beer cans and dry grass with some patches of stiff green, fresh blades, genuflecting praying for rain— to lift their parched spirits of mottled-brown-withering stems from dusting— the sub-tropical terrain.
