TINY THOUGHTS #poetry by jay

somewhere in this

disassembled moment

I forget

how the sun rises

and how the moon

swaddles the night

just so

holding it

in its swooning

embryonic gaze

frozen in

a new lunar phase

I admit

I was lost by

the assemblage

of the greats

nomadic Gods

with no doubt

and little room left

to wander in regret

I forget how

the day begins

and then ends

with the light

of great minds

with tiny thoughts.

    I love it. I think this part makes the poem. “I forget/how the sun rises/and how the moon/swaddles the night/just so/holding it/in its swooning/embryonic gaze/frozen in/a new lunar phase/I admit/I was lost…”
