Petunias

close up of purple flowers

Immorality proliferates

while mortality

propagates

it’s wrapped

around the end

of a beginning of a story

same existences contrarily, if so

told different-ly, a sad fatality

booked inside

a library of a brain

with no individuality

Succumbed

Entombed

like a moth

in a cocoon

Slept a sleep

Long and hard knuckled

a mass nestled, soft nest

a grayed out cradled

paper thin womb

Be gone

Be get

Bee’s meddle

In set,

In pace

In tune

Humming

and buzzing

in and around

the nettles and

O’ the petunes-

smelled a soured

sweet scent

of purpled

petunias

once bloomed

in a garden

now poisoned

by a petulant goon.

Very nice, Jay. Love your word choices. Phrases like “bees meddle” and “Immorality proliferates while mortality propagates” and “petulant goon.” Especially that–petulant goon. I know people well described by these very words.

Thank you so much George I surely appreciate your words 🙏🏻 A petulant goon with power is the worst kind of goon! Ugh 😑
