my hair is longer my beard has grown something i can’t identify— i consume the maddening fodder like candy— i play with the idea of shaving my beard off/ lobbing my hair off i find pleasure in the act of starting over.

The dreams become my party an escape to foreign lands enchantment and delusion dancing hand in hand.

Forever by day
words rain
like a roar
though soft
and still-like
your world
rememberest
forever
the change
the laughter
deceased.

You won’t get what you want
from those who believe
love is cheap or sell their souls
for a knock-off of self-esteem.

The short tale has arrived
Hand feed

Ouch! I jumped
didn’t expect the
quick hit of pain
this time the jab
the prick the shot
the deltoid muscle
complained
the vaccinator
chuckled by
my unexpected
state
of minor complaint
But no worries here
I am vak·suh·nei·tuhd!

Stars fall from my eyelashes
and burn into my pupils
a mark from the gods above
laden in blessings
a distant relative calls
falls from the heavens
a message of love sent
to lift me from my burdens.

Pieces scatter
the earth
leaving the task
at hand –
With hand and heart
I shall sew a story
a tale to mend
your life.

two bodies
fighting on the grass
struggling yet loving
one strong and mighty
the other floating, resting
filled with angst.
they are dancing
dancing to the tune
of their struggle,
flames
flames of fire within
i can feel it
it’s there, see it?
it’s all around us.
why!? why can’t you see?
you are stepping on my toes-
my fire.

A Chinese Moon
A Chinese moon revealed a
fools desire
ravenously my eyes bespeak
tranquility is
the ocean-bed
the flesh-plumes velvet
petals end.
I first posted this poem on this blog back on December 30th 2018, but I wrote it many years prior to having this blog, while my son Adrian and I, were deep into playing some fun poetry words games. Hope you enjoyed it!
Happy Monday!
